The Children of Valon
6’ tall and 210 lbs of lean muscle, with short dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.
I am Grimwulf, the warrior and professional soldier of the community. My career is that of the fighting man. Most of my time is spent patrolling, guarding and training – focusing on the use of various weapons, close-quarter tactics, and the study of enemy styles to make the most of any future opportunities. I do not follow a particular martial code, and I focus on brute-force over finesse. I take up arms for glory, wealth, and revenge. I do battle to prove myself, to protect others, and because it is all I know. Still I learn the ways of weaponcraft to hone my body in battle and prove my mettle in the forge of war. I am a lord of the battlefield. I have trained with many weapons, perfecting the uses of armor, learning the fighting techniques, and studying the art of combat, all to shape myself into a living weapon. Far more than a mere thug, I reveal the true deadliness of my weapons, turning hunks of metal into arms capable of taming kingdoms, slaughtering monsters, and rousing the hearts of armies. Soldier, knight, hunter, and artists of war, I am an unparalleled champion, and woe to those who dare stand against me. I excel at combat—defeating my enemies, controlling the flow of battle, and surviving such dangers myself. While my specific weapons and methods grant me a wide variety of tactics, few can match my sheer battle prowess. Combining the deadliest talents of the warriors who came before me, my abilities are all about getting into combat, dealing with a target, and getting back out again.
Character Hooks -
Deodric – Deodric has on several occasions worked for me, acting as tracker and guide when I was engaged on missions for the Queen. He has witnessed firsthand the martial skill and nearly reckless disregard for my own safety that I display when cornering one of my bounties. The most recent manhunt ended in bloodshed, and the exchange left Deodric with a healthy respect for me (and more than a little fear of what he is capable of).
Margery – As a warrior/peacekeeper, I come to Maergyth to be stitched up and for salves for wounds on numerous occasions. I come to her instead of the male healer in Westgard because I almost died from a wound that became infected under the “doctor’s” care. Maergyth nursed me back to health and sees in me the son she might have had.
Ruhwyn – I used Ruhwyn as bait to capture a murderer when she was nine. Her testimony was crucial in convicting the man. Her courage at such a young age impressed me, and I think she takes secret pride in the slight praise from this gruff man. To this day we still nod and speak when we see each other.
Reod – In my youth, I witnessed a savage beating of an innocent man given by Reod. The normally calm, cool, and collected Reod savagely beat this poor guy to an inch of his life for appearantly no reason. I mistrust Reod and keep a watchful eye on him. I’ll not allow him to harm another, now that I am old enough and capable to do something about it.
